Urea solution for marine SCR systems
” AUS40″

2Since 2016, under the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission regulations imposed by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the third regulation “Tier III regulation” has been implemented, which requires an 80% reduction in emissions compared to the first regulation. The amount of NOx is restricted when navigating areas called Emission Control Areas (ECAs). Under these circumstances, marine SCR systems are attracting attention as a means to comply with these regulations. The marine SCR system is a technology that works to reduce NOx in such a way that urea solution is injected into the exhaust gas and the reduction reaction of ammonia is used to decompose NOx into harmless nitrogen and water.
We manufacture the urea solution “AUS40” required for this system, and supplies high-quality products that comply with ISO 18611-1.
