Research & Development

We conduct research and development into new products with the aim of cultivating new markets.
Currently, we are focusing our efforts on the application development of minute air bubbles, nanobubbles (ultra-fine bubbles), and on nanocapsules, microcapsules, and millicapsules.

We have already completed development of and commercialized a “nanobubble” production unit, and our activities include demonstration experiments for commercialization that takes advantage of the characteristics of nanobubbles.

While nanobubbles are gas and highly absorptive, we are also conducting research and development into nanocapsules, microcapsules, and millicapsules for stable encapsulation of drugs, etc.

Our plan for the future is to combine nanobubbles and capsules to develop innovative products with even greater social significance.

Application development of minute air bubbles, “nanobubbles (ultra-fine bubbles)”

Nanobubbles have excellent properties such as “absorbency,” “stability,” “washability,” and an “ability to be highly concentrated,” and we are conducting research and development on products that take advantage of these properties.

We also sell “Nanobubble water” produced by the “nanobubble” production unit developed by ourselves. For companies aiming to develop products using nanobubbles, we also conduct demonstration experiments to confirm safety and effectiveness.

In addition to drinking water that allows intestinal absorption of oxygen and highly-cleansing shampoos, this technology could also be applied in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.

[Examples of commercialization of nanobubbles]
<Nanobubble water “SPUTNA”>
High-concentration oxygen nanobubble water “SPUTNA” produced by the “nanobubble” production unitis sold as a health drinking water “drinking oxygen”.

<Shampoo and conditioner >
Because nanobubbles have excellent cleaning and absorbing properties, experiments have been conducted to develop shampoos and conditioners, and they have been commercialized.
【Nanobubble production unit】】
Equipment that produces extremely tiny bubbles, nanobubbles with a diameter of 1 μm (= 0.001 mm) or less

【Nanocapsules, microcapsules, and millicapsules】
We are conducting research and development on nanocapsules, microcapsules, and millicapsules for stable encapsulation of drugs, etc. They have excellent “sustained release” and “preservability” properties that allow the medicine contained inside to be gradually released to the outside, making it possible to maintain stable and long-term effects. We are currently developing a mass production machine that can supply in a fixed amount.

This technology is expected to be useful for environmental improvement using biotechnology by making good use of the capsule’s “sustained release” and “preservability.” In addition, encapsulation, which enables inclusion of unstable substances, can be applied to health foods, etc.

【Example of commercialization of capsule】
<Algaecide capsule>
Currently under development is a capsule product containing a chemical that suppresses the formation of algae. When placed in a pond, etc., the capsule will gradually release chemicals that kill algae, allowing the water to remain clear for a long period of time.

【What are nanocapsules, microcapsules, and millicapsules】
Nanocapsules are microscopic containers with a diameter of about 10 nm (1 nm: 1 billionth of a meter). Microcapsules are microscopic containers with diameters ranging from a few μm to several thousand μm (1 μm = 1/1000th of a mm), and microscopic containers larger than microcapsules are called millicapsules.
